The 2006 Ouray Ice Festival
After Becky and I had been in Ouray for about 6 days, my dad Mike and sister Katie
joined us for the ice festival. Katie thought she came out just to relax and enjoy
Ouray's famous hot springs, but of course she got talked into climbing a little ice too!

Looking up the canyon (not visible) you can see everyone watching the competition at the upper bridge.
Looking off the upper bridge there's some nice long climbs. Here's the bottom 1/3 - 1/2 of these climbs.
In the shot above, you can see the School Room area (where many clinics are taught) above the tops of these climbs.
These next few shots were taken by my father during his clinics (in the School Room) Friday and Saturday of the festival.
