Horned Lizards

(Mountain) Short-Horned Lizard (Phrynosoma hernandesi)

 Found by fellow hikers near the Pawnee Buttes on 7 June 2008 while observing a Prairie Falcon eyrie.


Texas Horned Lizard (Phrynosoma cornutum)

 A nice looking individual (in horrible lighting!) from near Picketwire Canyon, Comanche Natn'l Grasslands.
