Eurasian Wigeon (and Hybrids)
South of Cayuga Lake State Park - 23 March 2007.
This American x Eurasion Wigeon hybrid was seen near the intersection of Lower Lake Rd. and Hw89.
Interestingly, a pure looking Eurasion Wigeon was seen near this exact spot the following day.
The huge congregation of waterfowl at this end of the lake also contained some
Long-tailed Ducks, which were photographed nearby that same
afternoon.
